FINDING 05
Even where faceless is an established playbook, speech wins.
The narrowest gap is creator and solopreneur at 2.5x, the one niche where faceless formats like digital products and quote content are a real, practiced playbook. Speech-led accounts still win there.
THE NARROWEST GAP
Creator and solopreneur, 3,481 fronted against 1,370 faceless. That is the best case for going faceless, and it is still a 2.5x loss.
FINDING 06
Faceless is common, not clever.
615 of 2,977 labelable accounts, 20.7%, run faceless, plus 847 in the mixed middle. The silent strategy is widely used and it underperforms on every measure in this study.
In every founder niche we measured, the accounts that talk beat the accounts that don't. Not by a little: by 7x on typical views.
Put the data to work
Getting on camera is a system, not a personality.
The gap in this study is not about charisma. It is about having a repeatable way to say something worth hearing, on a schedule. That part is buildable.
