01
The field is thinner than founders assume.
Founder TikTok looks crowded from the outside. Measured, it is a category nobody has claimed.
FINDING 01
The pool is small.
90 targeted niche searches across 12 business niches, from SaaS and ecommerce to agencies, real estate, finance, VC and AI devtools, surfaced only 3,232 relevance-filtered founder accounts. This is not a crowded category.

The committed are getting paid.
Among accounts that stay in the game, breakout reach is not exotic. It is the normal outcome.
FINDING 04
Breakouts are the norm for accounts that stay in.
48.7% of founder accounts have at least one video past 100,000 views in their recent window, and 8.2% of all 54,184 mature videos clear 100,000 views on their own.

FINDING 05
Daily posters play a different game at the top.
Their top-decile videos run 7.6x the top decile of less frequent posters, and their median follower count is roughly 2x, 9,922 against about 5,000 for slower cadences. Consistency multiplies the ceiling and compounds into audience.

03
The algorithm distributes on content, not follower count.
If reach required an audience, the next three numbers would be close to zero.
FINDING 06
A quarter of small accounts have already had a 100K+ video.
24.6% of the 1,658 sub-10K accounts with mature videos are carrying a video past 100,000 views. The cross-check on the all-video cut lands at 24.9%. On a platform where distribution required an audience, this number would be near zero.

FINDING 07
Small accounts take a meaningful share of the big wins.
Of the 4,444 mature videos past 100,000 views, 15.7% came from accounts still under 10,000 followers today and 53.1% came from accounts under 100,000. The majority of founder TikTok's biggest videos do not come from big accounts.
Under-1K accounts hold 1.4% of breakouts, so the floor is not zero effort. But 10K followers is a weekend of momentum, not a career.
FINDING 08
Even the typical small account's best video shows the reach gap.
The median founder video earns 1,386 views, yet the median sub-10K account's best video in window is 16,300 views, roughly 12x its typical video. The top 10% of sub-10K accounts have a best video past 412,000 views. TikTok hands out reach spikes to accounts with no audience.
Bars use a square-root scale so the small figures stay visible. Every bar is labeled with its true value.

Founders keep asking if they're too late to TikTok. The data says the opposite: only about a thousand founders on earth are posting daily, half the accounts that stick with it have a 100K+ video, and a quarter of the sub-10K accounts already have one too. You do not need an audience to get distribution. You need to still be posting when it arrives.
Put the data to work
The window is open for founders who commit.
About a thousand founders worldwide are posting daily. Being one of them is a system problem, not a talent problem. The playbook is where that system starts.
